Bug hotel building in Ryhope

Join us on National Cycle Network route 1 in Ryhope to help us to build bug hotels in the areas where we cleared sections of bramble by the track. We'll be using pallets, cut branches and old tree guards to create new habitat for a range of different insects. We'll also be removing any bramble re-growth to keep the areas clear for wildflower seeding next month.


Time: 10:00 – 15:00


Meeting location: On the cycle track at under the red and white bridge (see link below for exact location)

What to bring: Please wear/bring warm waterproof clothing and wear sturdy footwear with good grip as the ground may be muddy/slippery and bring a packed lunch. Tools and protective equipment will be provided as will tea, coffee and biscuits!


Other Information: We encourage those attending to arrive on foot or by bike. Those of you arriving by car please park considerately. Participants must be 18 or over unless accompanied by a responsible adult
