Leading the way with menopause in the workplace

Leading the way with menopause in the workplace

Posted on behalf of Hope Street Xchange

Join Hope Street Xchange, Square One Law and Miss Menopause for an informative session on the menopause and how to create a menopause-friendly workplace.

There are approximately four and a half million women aged 50-64 in work, most of whom will go through the menopause transition during their working lives. It’s more important than ever for employers to understand this transition and ensure they’re meeting the needs and legal requirements of their employees.

Sharon MacArthur, Menopause Educator at Miss Menopause, will host an interactive session to inform and advise all about the menopause and its symptoms, treatment and options. She will also help you discuss and design a plan that you can use to adjust your company culture to better deal with the menopause.

Eleanor Wilkinson, senior associate at commercial law firm Square One Law, will cover the duties employers have in respect of employees suffering from the symptoms and consider the legal developments.

We will also hear an inspiring and personal story from someone who has been through the process themselves, although every experience is different, it’s important to hear first-hand how individuals can be affected by this stage in their lives.
