A story of love and hate in a time of “freedom”.

The story follows a central male character, Frankie who returns from the war with no memory of who he is. He is forced into marriage and a new career, all the while feeling displaced in the world. Through encounters with a woman he works with, he discovers a new, underground world within “the village” of New York. It is within this time he finds love with a man and befriends two women who share a “sinful” relationship. Can Frankie come to terms with who he is, while the world restricts it? He is in parallel with society and his wife, living in a black and white world where the only colour he experiences is banned. As a returning veteran to a new world of “freedom”, is the war really over?

Set in the late 1940’s, New York City. Cabaret and Business world.
