This performance focuses on the themes and issues of 'Child Labour' communicating the true demands, strenuous expectations and harsh reality of the work. Childen are deprived of a normal life, the work they are subject to hinders physical and mental development and often interferes with education resulting in a negative impact upon their childhoodAn estimated 246 million children are engaged in extreme labour. 171 million (70%) of these children work in hazardous conditions including; working in mines, working with chemicals and pesticides in agriculture or with dangerous machinery. Higher Education Dance and Drama students have worked collaboratively, using stimulus and extensive research to create an intense and physicalised theatre production which exhibits the real life expectations of those who are subject to Child Labour.
