DNAA Novice Championships 2018

DNAA Novice Championships 2018

Posted on behalf of Kat Ashby

Whitburn Archer’s with support from Merlin Archery are please to once again be hosting the Durham and Northumberland Archery Association Indoor Novice Championships.

For the purpose of this tournament a Novice is defined as “An archer in their first year of ArcheryGB registration” you are not a novice if you have changed bow types, changed clubs or have taken a break and come back to the sport. Checks are done with club officials to confirm.

The centre opens at 9:00am.

Morning Session: 9:30am

Afternoon Session 13:00pm

Refreshments will be available from Brinkburn CIO and results will be announced at the end of second session.

The round will be a Portsmout, (Please can compound archers specify if they wish to shoot on a single or triple face, if no specification is made a single spot will be provided and we may be unable to change)

Now that the serious bits out of the way……..

We try to keep the tournament as relaxed as possible, there will be plenty of help and support on hand from experienced club members and the coaches from other clubs who come to help on the day. We’ve had equipment failures, broken noses, people accidentally missing their turn to shoot. It’s all happened before. The judges are always fed and watered and none have bitten anyone yet, so don’t be afraid to come and give it a go.
