Revalidation for pharmacy professionals - providing assurance and improving quality

Posted on behalf of Mark Stephenson

Revalidation is a process which will help you to keep your professional pharmacy skills and knowledge up to date. It will help you to show how you provide the safe and effective care patients and the public expect.

The General Pharmaceutical Council, in partnership with Sunderland LPC and the University of Sunderland are providing an event that will help guide you through the revalidation process.

Osama Ammar, the Head of Revalidation,  at the General Pharmaceutical Committee, will help you to find out everything you need to know about revalidation and how it will affect you.

This event is suitable for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and L3 and L4 pharmacy students from the  University of Sunderland.

Why attend the revalidation event:

1. Develop a clearer understanding of revalidation, the background to the introduction of revalidation and how revalidation has been developed.

2. Gain a clear understanding of revalidation and what pharmacy professionals will be required to complete.

3. Gain an understanding of what you need to do to comply with the revalidation process: what you need to do now, and in the coming year, to meet revalidation requirements.

During the evening, you will also have the opportunity to have your questions answered by Osama Ammar, Head of Revalidation at the General Pharmaceutical Committee.
